Hi there! Welcome to Ed’s Clean Energy & Sustainability Jobs List, where we know climate change is caused by burning fossil fuels such as gasoline, coal, oil, and fossil gas (“natural” gas), and that burning fossil gas in our homes makes us sick.
There are 63 jobs and internships in the full version of the newsletter this week. This week I heard from 7 people who found new jobs!
Access to jobs that require less than five years experience or that are located outside of the U.S. are and will remain free. What I'm reading this week:
Plug-in Hybrids emit 6x more pollution than claimed, and they're getting dirtier. (Jameson Dow, Electrek).
Meet Con Edison's One-Woman Electrification Show. (Emily Pontecorvo, Heatmap [paywall]). This article is from December of 2025, but I thought it was interesting. It illustrates some of the challenges of electrifying existing buildings. But it can be done!
The chefs turning down the heat by switching from gas to electric. (Fiona Harvey, The Guardian). One of the things that really jumped out at me from this article is the difference in cleaning time - 24 minutes for a gas cooktop vs 21 seconds for an induction cooktop. Having worked in restaurants and kitchens at times in my life, this is a huge time savings and quality of life improvement.
